I cannot upload pics into my comments, You can add them as original poster, everyone is saying to ctrl-v & c it but that would mean just linking it to another site, not uploading pics from my actual computer

It's in the comment section (here, for example)...I just fell victim to it myself.
Also, congrats on the purchase.

Trolls are raiding Jez and posting rape gifs to the front page articles. This is the higher ups way of stopping it for now.

Burner trolls have been posting GIFs of porn and rape to Jezebel.
Disabling image uploads is the only thing Gawker is willing to do to make it stop.
They must get a LOT of tips from burner accounts to chose this fix.

The St Louis Business Journals used to allow anonymous posting and while it was not rape and battery video, the comments were unbelievably hateful. Then they required you use a Linked in or FB account to log into the comments where MOST people use their real identities. Suddenly, the comments got really civilized.

Seriously, I don't understand why burners haven't been disabled. We already get a stupid amount of spam from them

The burner accounts were created for whistle blowers and hot anonymous tips, but yeah.. they're used more for spam and trolling than what they were intended for.
I wonder how many valid tips they get to make dealing with all this shit worth it?

Surely they can come up with another way for tips to be shared anonymously
